U.S. energy companies cut four oil rigs in the week ending Sep. 6, bringing the total count to 738, General Electric Co.’s Baker Hughes energy services firm said in its closely followed report on Friday.

 

The gas rig count declined by two rigs to160 rigs for the week, compared to 186 gas rigs a year earlier.
