Al Alamiya Insurance shareholders approve dividend freeze for 2020

Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Co.'s shareholders approved withholding dividend for 2020, during the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held on June 7, 2021, according to a bourse filing.
Shareholders also approved a number of businesses and contracts that will take place between the insurer and other companies, where some members of the board have an indirect interest.
They also approved the remaining items on the agenda.
Al Alamiya’s board had recommended a dividend freeze for 2020 in order to support the company’s financial position, Argaam reported.
