The Saudi Shura Council approved on Nov. 10, a decision allowing the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) will map out a rollout plan to enable the private sector to manage industrial cities.   

 

In a statement, the council said the decision comprises an incentive package for the industrial city factories to encourage the localization of jobs, in coordination with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD).

 

The council also requested MODON to restructure the industrial cities in the urban regions to eliminate the related negative impact on the residents in the surrounding areas.
