Health Minister says reintroduction of preventive measures ‘necessary’ to limit spread of COVID-19

Saudi Arabia’s reintroduction of mask-wearing and social-distancing norms, while instructing people to get the vaccine booster shots is necessary for helping control the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, said Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel.
“We depend on community awareness to pass this period,” AlJalajel indicated.
The Ministry of Interior announced, on Dec. 29, reimposing wearing face masks and applying social distancing in all closed and open places, in addition to events and activities, as of 7 am today, Dec. 30.
