We must focus on opportunities in region, ensure stronger entities: Emirates NBD CEO

Focus must be oriented towards establishing robust regional entities, rather than expanding internationally, for instance, toward Europe, Shayne Nelson, CEO of Emirates NBD, said at the Financial Sectors Conference (FSC) today, March 16.

 

He raised concerns about the feasibility of utilizing capital and liquidity in other countries, while good opportunities exist in the region.

 

He urged banks to expand and take advantage of opportunities available in the region.
