ECZA permits Lucid to operate manufacturing unit at KAEC

The Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority (ECZA) granted Lucid Motors a permit to operate a manufacturing unit at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).
The manufacturing unit spans a total area of more than 1.35 million square meters, and represents nearly 31% of the total area allocated for vehicle manufacturing at KAEC.
In February 2022, Emaar The Economic City (Emaar EC) inked a 25-year development and lease agreement with Lucid LLC at a total value of SAR 113.5 million, Argaam earlier reported.
Lucid will lease an industrial land plot in KAEC’s Industrial Valley to build and operate an auto manufacturing and assembly facility with all ancillary services.
