Remat Al-Riyadh to build parking near Riyadh Metro stations

Remat Al-Riyadh Development Co., the development arm of Riyadh Municipality, signed an agreement with Innovation & Development for Information Technology Co. (IDIT), developer of the ParkAway app, to develop and operate off-street public parking at several strategic locations near Riyadh Metro stations.

The project forms part of the master plan for vehicle parking under the Riyadh Parking program, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Under the agreement, ParkAway will develop and operate surface public parking facilities on 17 plots of land, including seven sites adjacent to metro stations in the Al-Shuhada, Al-Mansourah, and Al-Sahafah districts. The remaining 10 plots are located in key areas of Al-Rahmaniyah, Al-Murabba, and Al-Nasiriyah.

The facilities will cover a total area of about 60,000 square meters and provide approximately 1,700 parking spaces.

The initiative aims to ease parking shortages in high-density areas, particularly around Riyadh Metro stations, and improve access to surrounding destinations.
