Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) approved the initial public offering (IPO) of Asbar Murabaha Fund managed by Asbar Capital.

The regulator said in a statement that making an investment decision without reviewing the fund’s terms and conditions and carefully studying their content could involve high risks.

The CMA added that investors should review the fund’s terms and conditions, which include detailed information on the fund, its investment strategy, and risk factors, and study them carefully to assess the feasibility of the investment in light of the associated risks. If investors are unable to understand the contents of the terms and conditions, they are advised to consult the fund manager for further information.

The authority also clarified that its approval of the fund offering should not be viewed as an endorsement of the investment’s merits, noting that the approval merely means the relevant regulatory requirements under the Capital Market Law and its implementing regulations have been met.
