Cryptocurrencies decline as US-Iran tensions continue to mount

Cryptocurrencies

Cryptocurrencies declined on Monday, with Bitcoin falling below $81,000, as investors monitored tensions between the US and Iran after Trump rejected Iran's response to the US proposal to end the war.

Bitcoin fell 0.88% to $80,707 at 10:44 AM Makkah time.

Meanwhile, Ethereum dropped 1.44% to $2,329, and Ripple declined 0.14% to $1,448.

Markets are also awaiting Trump's visit to Beijing this week for a summit with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping. The agenda includes trade, technology, rare earth export controls, Taiwan, and the Middle East conflict.
