Cryptocurrencies fall, Bitcoin trades below $81,000

Cryptocurrencies declined on Tuesday, with Bitcoin falling below the $81,000 level amid uncertainty over prospects for a peace agreement to end the war in the Middle East and ahead of US inflation data.

Bitcoin fell 1.2% to $80,925 as of 10:11 a.m. Makkah time.

Ethereum declined around 1.6% to $2,302.05, while XRP slipped 0.85% to $1.4605 and Dogecoin fell 1% to 11.02 cents.

Investors are awaiting the US consumer price index data for April later in the day, with expectations of an annual 3.7% rise, compared with 3.3% in March.
