CMA Chair reconstitutes Financial Academy board of trustees

Chairman of the Capital Market Authority (CMA), Mohammed El-Kuwaiz, issued a decision to reconstitute the board of trustees of the Financial Academy for a three-year term.
The decision was made in accordance with Article 4 of the Financial Academy’s regulations issued by the Saudi Cabinet.
The new board will be chaired by El-Kuwaiz, with Ali Al Qarawi serving as vice chairman and representative of the Saudi Central Bank.
Members include Murya Habbash, representing the CMA, and Badr Alotaibi, representing the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), alongside Tareq Al-Sadhan, Tariq Al-Sudairy, Mohammed Alzahrani, May AlHoshan, Othman Al-Qasabi and Financial Academy CEO Mana Alkhamsan.
The move reflects the academy’s role in developing financial-sector human capital and preparing Saudi talent to adapt to rapid changes in markets and financial services.
The effort aligns with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the Financial Sector Development Program.
The academy applies governance standards and promotes efficiency and transparency across its programs and initiatives.
Its board of trustees oversees operations, sets general policies and supervises strategic direction to support sustainable growth and specialized professional programs for the financial sector.
The new board is expected to strengthen coordination between regulators and financial institutions, support innovation in training and qualification, and boost the sector’s competitiveness by developing national capabilities and future-focused skills.
