US jobless claims rose during the week ending May 30, indicating weakness in the American labor market.

Claims increased by more than expected, reaching 215,000, while the previous week's data was revised down by 3,000 to 212,000, according to data released by the Labor Department on Thursday.

Investors are awaiting the US non-farm payrolls report for May, due to be released on Friday, for further clarity on the state of the American labor market.
