Cryptocurrencies rise; Bitcoin trades above $60,000

Cryptocurrencies rise ahead of the US jobs report, with Bitcoin trading above $60,000.
Cryptocurrencies advanced during Thursday's trading as investors awaited the US jobs report, scheduled for release later today instead of Friday due to the Independence Day holiday. Economists expect a slowdown in hiring and an unchanged unemployment rate.
In a note issued yesterday, Citigroup analysts lowered their 12-month price target for Bitcoin to $82,000 from their previous forecast of $112,000.
US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded net outflows of $4.5 billion in June, marking the largest monthly withdrawal since the funds began trading in January 2024, according to SoSoValue.
