US retail sales growth slumps in June

The pace of US retail sales growth slowed down in June, signaling weakening demand in the world's largest economy, according to official data released today, July 16.
According to the data, retail sales rose by 0.2% on a monthly basis, meeting expectations, while May's reading was upwardly revised to a growth of 1% from the previously reported 0.9%.
