The US goods and services trade deficit contracted in June as imports fell at a faster pace than exports, according to data released Tuesday by the US Department of Commerce.
For the first half of this year, the US trade deficit shrank by 33.8%—or $189.3 billion—compared to the same period in 2025, driven by an 11.7% surge in exports alongside a modest 0.4% uptick in imports.
