Crypto prices rise as ETH trades at $71,900

Cryptocurrencies gained on Thursday, led by Ethereum’s nearly 7% jump
Cryptocurrency prices rose during Thursday’s trading, with Ethereum jumping nearly 9%, while Bitcoin traded at $71,900 after US President Donald Trump urged Congress to pass a bill expected to support the sector.
Investor appetite for riskier assets also increased after US Treasury yields declined following measures taken by the US Treasury to stabilize the bond market.
Jeffrey Kendrick, global head of digital asset research at Standard Chartered, welcomed the Treasury’s move, saying investors should now prepare for Bitcoin to rise to $100,000 by the end of the year, CNBC reported.
