Saudi minister meets AI company executives in Silicon Valley

Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, met with several executives of artificial intelligence companies in Silicon Valley, US.

According to the ministry’s account on X, Alswaha discussed with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and several company executives expanding the partnership in advanced models, leveraging the computing capabilities and infrastructure being developed by HUMAIN to support large-scale AI model deployment, and accelerating the development of advanced national applications in priority sectors.

The minister also discussed with TenX Semi CEO and Co-Founder Suk Hwan Lim the use of AI agents in chip design and verification, accelerating the development cycle, and applying autonomous design technologies to support the development of advanced chip-design capabilities in Saudi Arabia.

Alswaha discussed with Andreessen Horowitz Co-Founder and General Partner Ben Horowitz accelerating a16z’s expansion in Saudi Arabia, increasing its investments in Saudi startups, connecting its portfolio companies with HUMAIN’s computing capabilities to support their expansion in the Kingdom and the region, and supporting the growth and global expansion of national companies.

The ministry added that Alswaha discussed with Sequoia Capital Partner Alfred Lin attracting the firm’s investments to Saudi AI and deep-tech companies, enabling promising national companies to access Sequoia’s global network of expertise, markets and technology companies. He also discussed connecting Sequoia’s AI portfolio companies with HUMAIN’s computing capabilities to develop and deploy advanced applications in Saudi Arabia.

Alswaha also discussed with Cognition AI Co-Founder and CEO Scott Wu and several company executives expanding the use of autonomous software engineering solutions, enhancing developer productivity, enabling Devin and software agents to operate through HUMAIN’s computing capabilities, and accelerating the development of national capabilities in building and operating AI applications.

The ministry said Alswaha discussed with Social Capital Founder and CEO Chamath Palihapitiya supporting increased investment in AI infrastructure and deep technologies, attracting investments from Social Capital’s portfolio, and connecting global capital with high-quality opportunities in Saudi Arabia.

Alswaha also discussed with Dell Chairman and CEO Michael Dell accelerating the adoption of AI solutions, integrating the company’s AI Factory solutions with HUMAIN’s computing capabilities to accelerate the deployment of enterprise AI at scale, as well as transferring knowledge and developing national capabilities in Saudi Arabia.

The minister discussed with Solidigm Senior Vice President and Head of Global Operations Kyle Fukuda deploying advanced storage solutions across the computing infrastructure and data centers being developed by HUMAIN, improving access to data and the use of computing resources to support the expansion of AI applications in Saudi Arabia.
