Bitcoin trades above $76,000 after Fed decision

Bitcoin trades above $76,000 after the Fed’s rate decision, with the cryptocurrency market valued at $2.61 trillion

Bitcoin remained above $76,000 during Thursday’s trading after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates, as widely expected.

Bitcoin accounted for 58.8% of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization of $2.61 trillion, while total trading volume over the past 24 hours reached $88.25 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data.

This follows pressure on cryptocurrencies after a digital assets bill failed to pass the US Senate. The bill, known as the CLARITY Act, failed to secure the 60 votes required to advance most legislation in the 100-member chamber.
