Saudi Arabia will impose penalties for flouting rules under the new value-added tax (VAT) system, and repay taxes collected to citizens affected by violations, said Majid Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment.

 

Speaking in a televised interview, Al-Qasabi also emphasized that Saudi nationals play a key role in monitoring the market and reporting violations.
