The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), the Kingdom central bank, directed all banks not to deduct any installments from the cost-of-living allowances recently granted by King Salman for any legal reasons.

 

The central bank urged Saudi banks to lift legal seizures on these allowances, SAMA said in a statement.

 

In January, the Saudi monarch ordered payment of a monthly cost of living allowance at SAR 1,000 for the government staff and military personnel for one year, Argaam reported.
