Saudi Arabia needs to set up four new dry ports to fulfill the high traffic in sea ports, Makkah newspaper has reported, citing Ahmed Hanafi, chief executive officer at Saudi Global Ports.
The cargo handling capacity of the shipping terminal in Riyadh Dry Port rose 5.4 percent in Q1 2018 to 75,900 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU), compared to 72,000 TEU in a year earlier period, Hanafi said on the sidelines of a forum in Dammam.
