EFG Hermes, a financial services company, has entered into a definitive sale and purchase agreement to acquire 100 percent of Primera Africa, a brokerage house in Nigeria, it said in a statement on Thursday.

 

The Egyptian investment bank will utilize its presence in Nigeria to serve both global and domestic investor appetite for opportunities in Africa’s largest economy.

 

The bank expects to complete the acquisition by Aug.31, subject to regulatory approval.
