The Saudi Minister of Education and Governor of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), Ahmed Al-Issa, has granted the robot, named Teqni, the first robot employee card during an event held in Riyadh on Sunday.

 

Teqni will help improve customer service at TVTC through an electronic evaluation device. It will also deliver messages to visitors and trainees of TVTC.

 

In October 2017, the humanoid robot Sophia, designed by Hong Kong company Hanson Robotics, was granted citizenship of Saudi Arabia, Argaam reported.

 

Sophia took the stage at the Future Investment Initiative 2017.
