Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce and Investment (MOCI) has issued 75 steel export licenses and 37 cement export licenses, thus far, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing the ministry’s spokesperson Abdulrahman Al-Hussaini.
Meanwhile, two export licensing applications are still under study, he said, adding that the number of licenses rose by 23 ones in two months, compared to 89 in November.
The issued licenses met all regulatory requirements set by the ministries of commerce, finance, industry and environment, he added.
According to data compiled by Argaam, the Kingdom canceled cement export fees as of Feb. 1.
In July 2017, a ministerial committee suspended steel export fees for two years.
