Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Commerce and Investment has ordered the Customs Department to ban the admission of inefficient home appliances, as part of its effort to protect consumers from commercial fraud and counterfeiting, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported on Wednesday.

 

The Saudi Customs was informed that such appliances were proven inefficient after conducting technical tests.

 

Competent officials were ordered by the customs authority to deny the entry, exit of transit of banned or restricted commodities unless approved by competent authorities.
