SoftBank Group plans to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics company called “Roze” and list it on the US stock market, where it will contribute to building data centers.

The move comes as founder Masayoshi Son pushes forward with his ambitious AI plans.

Roze could be listed as early as this year, with SoftBank executives targeting a valuation of up to $100 billion, Financial Times reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Son aims to take the new company public this year in an effort to help offset the group’s massive spending commitments, which amount to tens of billions of dollars across its portfolio.

The Japanese group plans to hold an analyst day at a data center in Texas in July to promote the planned initial public offering.
