AtkinsRéalis secured two contracts from the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) to provide engineering services and contract supervision for Riyadh Metro operations and expansion, as well as oversee major road infrastructure projects across Riyadh.
According to TradeArabia, the agreements were signed during the Saudi-Canadian Investment Forum in Jeddah, held alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to Saudi Arabia.
The projects are part of the commission’s wider strategy to develop an integrated and sustainable transport system aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, strengthening Riyadh’s position among leading global cities.
Under the agreements, AtkinsRéalis will provide engineering consultancy, construction supervision, project management and technical oversight services for Riyadh Metro, ensuring efficient delivery while maintaining quality, safety and operational standards.
The company will also supervise strategic road development projects aimed at improving Riyadh’s transport network, easing traffic flow, enhancing road safety and supporting the city’s long-term urban expansion.
