Sahara International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) will adopt electronic voting as of April 25 on the agenda items of its extraordinary general assembly meeting (EGM) that will be held on April 29, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.

 

The step followed the Capital Market Authority’s (CMA) directives enabling shareholders to participate and vote on related meeting agenda through Tadawulaty System in line with the government’s efforts to prevent spread of coronavirus.

 

Earlier this month, the company invited its shareholders to vote on purchasing 10%, or 73.33 million, of its shares, to be retained as treasury shares, according to data compiled by Argaam.
