Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Co. will start on Jan. 22, 2021, the electronic voting on the agenda of its extraordinary general assembly meeting (EGM), slated for Jan. 26, 2021, according to a bourse filing.

 

The step followed the Capital Market Authority’s (CMA) directives enabling shareholders to participate and vote on related meeting agenda through Tadawulaty System in line with the government’s efforts to prevent spread of coronavirus.

 

Earlier this month, the insurance provider invited its shareholders to vote on a merger agreement with Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co., along with increasing Aljazira Takaful's and amendments of articles of its bylaws.
