Wataniya Insurance Co.’s board of directors approved the appointment of Haitham Albakree as an executive board member – managing director, effective from today, Oct. 7, the company said in a bourse filing. 

 

The company received a no-objection letter from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) on Oct. 6 regarding the appointment.

 

Albakree has served as CEO of Wataniya Insurance since 2013. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, USA, and has vast experience in management. 

 

The appointment is subject to the approval of the upcoming general meeting.
