ACWA Power starts Sudair Solar PV phase 2 commercial operation

ACWA Power Co. received on Oct. 29 the commercial operation certificate from the Saudi Power Procurement Co. (SPPC) for the phase 2 of Sudair Solar Photovoltaic (PV) project.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, ACWA Power pointed out that phase 2 includes a 25% addition to phase 1, which started commercial operation last month.

 

This brings the total production capacity under commercial operation to 1,125 megawatts, the company said, noting that the total production capacity of the project upon completion is planned to reach 1,500 megawatts.

 

The company expects the relevant financial impact to appear as of Q4 2023.

 

ACWA Power owns a 35% stake in Sudair Solar PV, Argaam earlier reported.
