Camille Asmar, Head of Equities for Europe and Emerging Markets at HSBC, said that GCC markets have proven their resilience amid global volatility. He highlighted that Saudi Arabia's ranking has advanced on emerging market indices, surpassing major countries such as Brazil in terms of relative weight.

 

In an interview with Argaam on the sidelines of HSBC's GCC Exchanges Conference in London, he added that the GCC's SME sector and privatization offer unique opportunities that aren't available in other emerging markets. He emphasized that the bank continues to help international investors explore these opportunities, amid growing global interest in the region and the decline in the geopolitical risk premium.
