ACWA Power wins 2 solar projects in Morocco

ACWA Power Co. won contracts to develop the Noor Midelt II and Noor Midelt III solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Morocco, following a request for proposals (RFP) issued by the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen), in collaboration with public and private sector partners.

 

Each project will feature a 400 MW PV plant integrated with battery energy storage systems, providing a combined storage capacity of 602 MWh.

The projects will be developed under a build-own-operate (BOO) model and are backed by a 30-year power purchase agreement with Masen, which is expected to be signed soon.
