Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) has fully repaid the first tranche of a $500 million sukuk issued on April 4, 2012, which was listed on London Stock Exchange (LSE), the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Monday.

 

SEC has transferred the total sum of the principal amount and profit to the designated payment agent, Deutsche Bank. Sukuk holders' accounts will receive funds on April 3 after which the sukuk will be delisted, the statement said.
