Mobily’s data network reports 5.5 terabytes in Mina Sunday

Etihad Etisalat Co.’s (Mobily) data network reported a record-high 5.5 terabytes at peak hours on Sunday in Mina yesterday, a 116 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase, the firm said on its Twitter account.
With the rise in data processing size during Haj season, service success rates surpassed last year’s rates, despite the difficult weather conditions Makkah and the holy sites saw yesterday, as the firm was well prepared for that, it said.
This year, Mobily increased its 4G capacity by over 1260 percent in the holy areas, achieving record high information and communication technology rates, the firm added.
