Sahara International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) and Alinma Bank said that their board chairman, Abdulaziz Al Zamil, has passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019.

 

Any developments regarding the appointment of a new chairman will be disclosed on a timely manner, both firms said in a bourse statement.

 

The deceased held several key positions including minister of industry and electricity from 1983 to 1995, SABIC’s vice chairman from 1976 to 1983 and deputy general manager of Saudi Consulting House from 1968 until 1976, according to data available on Argaam.
