Telecom Egypt said it has no intention to sell its stake in Vodafone Egypt as it did not receive any offers regarding the same.

 

The company said in a statement to Egypt Stock Exchange that it will disclose any developments in due time.

 

Telecom Egypt controls 45% of Vodafone Egypt, while the remaining stake is controlled by Vodafone International.

 

Earlier, a number of local media reported that Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) is in talks to acquire a stake in Vodafone Egypt.
