Saudi Public Transport Co. (SAPTCO) said in a bourse statement on Thursday that the Public Transport Authority (PTA) held two workshops to find the best alternatives for the market competition and intercity bus transport liberalization.

 

The transportation service provider will disclose potential impacts on its contract with the Saudi government later on.

 

On Oct. 13, 2015, SAPTCO has renewed its contract with the Saudi government for another five years, Argaam reported.

 

No preferential treatment or advantages were given to SAPTCO in the government’s selection of bus service providers.
